Class of 1962
In the last posting I announced a reunion meeting at
the Miracle Mile Panera with two dates. I apologize
but the first date had to be cancelled and we will be
meeting for the 1st time on August 29, 2011 at 6:30.
(the August 15th date had to be cancelled). We hope
to plan our second meeting in September at the

The "Save the Date" letter has been sent to '62
classmates. We are asking for a response as to your
interest in our "50th" reunion on the weekend of
Sept. 29, 2012. This is not a commitment letter, but
we need to know your intentions as far as attending
the reunion. If you did not receive one, please let us

want to leave anyone out! The more informative
letter will be sent in January, after the holidays, so

let us know. About ten have been returned due to
incorrect addresses. We would like to reach everyone,
so please get in touch with us if you haven't heard

Class of 1962
The second letter announcing our 50th reunion was
sent out the last day of December 2011. A request for a reply is due by Feb. 1, 2012 so that we are able to
reserve a facility large enough to hold our reunion
on Sept. 29, 2012. We had a terrific response to the
first letter and are excited about the number of class-
mates that are interested in attending. The committee
has planned events for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
The banquet on Saturday is our concern as we need to
know the number of classmates and guests interested
in attending. Letters were sent to those classmates
who showed interest from the first letter. If you did not respond to the first letter, which was sent to all
classmates, but are interested in attending our 50th
reunion, please notify us and we will gladly forward
this information to you. Thank you.

Class of 1963
I am trying to organize a 50 year reunion since no one seems to want to take charge. The girls that organized the last reunion are afraid of the cancer curse that sadly took some of the committee members. I myself really did not become reacquainted with old friends & until my wife's death three years ago. I felt I had a need to go back. The new social media has caused things to change. I will get a substantial list from Bob Folino who traveled throughout the world for Westinghouse & still does. I have some
of the ones Bob has & others like Geogia
Naley & the Dehass girls. My hope is that the 56 people that are on the alumni list read this & send me your emails with other info. I tried to shotgun the list but it seems I need to do them individually.

these events. I am proposing to go to a Friday night game in Sept. when it is warm (you know you can not take the cold anymore) & have the athletes & cheerleaders introduced. I know Pete (football) Rege Laughlin (basketball) are still living. My baseball coach Hartman is probably still living. I would invite them. I will have Patty Reese work on that. Her son is a Gateway principle. I then want to revist the new Gateway on Sat.& talk Decker into having some of golfers have a scramble.
Then have a banquet at the remodeled hotel at the Mall.

Class of 1964
Our 50th Reunion will be held on August 9, 2014 at Double Tree in Monroeville.
At this time, we have not made arrangements for a block of rooms. If we get several out of town people who want to stay at the hotel, we will look into it.
Cost of the Saturday night dinner will be $60 per person, cash bar will be
available. Still working on a menu. We'll update you when we get what we want.
We realize it is over a year away BUT these places book at least a year in
advance, especially the Double Tree which is now part of the Monroeville
Convention Center. A $60 per person commitment is appreciated for down payments and required minimums.
It is difficult to sign a contract without knowing if we will have enough classmates to cover the costs. So procrastination is not an option. We have to commit to $3500.00 for everything with $500.00 up front.
If we do not get a large enough turn out for the Double Tree, we move on!
Even then we will have to start searching for a different place that can handle the pre-paid classmates.
No money will be accepted at the door. Pre paid is the only way we can do it this time.
Staying at the Double Tree will enable us to meet in their bar for our Friday night get together. This is not the Holiday Inn and they frown on bringing your own liquor. What you do in your room is your business.
The Double Tree has a dining room, swimming pool, large bar, large lobby with plenty of places to sit so, we should not have to leave the hotel all weekend.
Brunch on Sunday will be optional and another chance to talk and say goodbye.

35 years in 2012 - any interest in a 35th reunion? Some of us have been talking about maybe doing a different location. The issue is that many of us don't have any relatives left in PA - and thought it might be fun to go to a vacation destination - ideally with easy airport access - Chicago. Atlanta, cruise, or even the Jersey shore??? There are some neat sites like VRBO where you can rent vacation homes - some have very large capacity - so I believe that we can make any event affordable. The Class of 1988 will be holding there 25th Class Reunion at Dave and Busters in the Waterfront. They have a beautiful and HUGE banquet area with bar, dance floor and a screen for a slide show presentation. Dave and Busters has FUN FUN FUN for us written all over it. The theme for our 25th reunion was to just have a good time. The date is August 3 2013 and we are blocking off a set of rooms at the hotel located across the street from Dave and Busters.
