On November 22, 2011 Deana lost her battle with cancer, diagnosed in August of 2010, she never gave up. In April of 1990 she married Bill Rettinger (Class of 1973) who survives in West Newton, Pa along with their twin sons Danny and Billy (born April, 1994). Also surviving are Lenny Surniak (son), Patsy Tartline (Mom) of West Newton, Pa and Patty (sister) and Jack Loutzenheiser of Meadville, Pa. Her request was to be buried next to her Grandmother, Margaret, to whom she was very close, in a private ceremony. In the end she was just worried about everyone else and not herself, not wanting anyone to worry. She will be so sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
