Born: November 28, 1948 Died: February 9, 2010 Richard Alan Crousey, 61, of Latrobe, went home to the Lord Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at his residence. He was born Nov. 28, 1948, in Homestead, a son of Lois Evelyn (Arbuckle) Crousey, of Monroeville, and the late Charles Crousey. Richard was an engineer employed for 35 years as Latrobe Specialty Steel's Manufacturing Specialist. His greatest professional pride was his 'Furnace Crew'. At Tree of Life [formerly Calvary Temple] Assembly of God, in the last 25 years he served as deacon, elder, Men's Sunday School teacher. He loved the outdoors and walking in the woods and canoeing and history. In addition to his mother, Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn D. (Thomas) Crousey, of Latrobe; one daughter, Cambric Parks and her husband, Tony, of East Stroudsburg; three sons, Caleb Crousey and his wife, Melissa, of Greensburg, Joshua Crousey and his wife Jiaying, of Minneapolis, Minn., and Rodrick Crousey and his wife, Amy, of Cincinnati, Ohio; his beloved sister, Karen Tribou and her husband, Bill, of Murrysville; and three grandchildren, Brayden Parks, Kyler Parks and Liam Parks. Family and friends were received in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC. A Celebration of Richard's life was held at Tree of Life where close friends, family and the 'Furnace Crew' shared memories of Richard. Because of the snowstorm, an Interment at the St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg was not possible. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Tree of Life Assembly of God, 1005 Cedar St., Latrobe, PA 15650 where a garden in Richard's memory as been planted by PLUMLINE NURSERY of Murrysville. The garden was designed by Bill Tribou, Richard's dear friend and brother-in-law who also went to be with the Lord just three months after Richard. It is a great comfort to Karen and I to know that Rick and Bill are together 'canoeing the River of Life.'
