Meleny Burik

Meleny Ann Myers 1961 - 2012 Surrounded by her loving family, Meleny was called home on Friday evening, December 7, 2012. Meleny, originally from Monroeville, Pennsylvania, married Brad and moved to areas in Ohio; the family resides in Hartville, Ohio. She worked at Carrollton Chiropractic assisting in her husband’s clinic. Meleny was an avid supporter of her daughters’ basketball teams of Lake High School and Malone University and enjoyed gardening and knitting. She was a doting mother and will always be remembered for her contagious laughter, warmth, and smile. Meleny fought valiantly against breast cancer with the support of her loving God, family, and closest friends. Meleny is preceded in death by her father, Donald; brother, Donald, Jr.; and mother-in-law, Carole; she is survived by her loving husband of twenty five years, Dr. Lowell II “Brad”; daughters, Rachael (23), Lauren (21), and Audrey (18); mother, Mary Burik of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; sisters, RaDonna Burik (Julie Flynn) and Lori Burik; brothers, Steven Burik (Rita) and Dr. Douglas Burik (Brenda); father-in-law, Lowell B. Myers; sisters-in-law, Debbie Reed (Dr. Randy), Jane Myers and Heidi Wheat (Dr. Gary); brother-in-law, Dr. Doug Myers (Kelly); and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 12th, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street, N.W., Uniontown, OH 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 and Cleveland Ave.). Funeral will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, December 13th, at Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Ave., N.W., North Canton, OH 44720. Family and friends will also be received one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Faith Family Church, Lake High School, 11936 King Church Ave. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685 or Malone University, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, OH 44709.
